Maharashtra Election Results – Vidhan Sabha 2009

The election results for the Maharashtra state assembly elections are supposed to be announced tomorrow (22nd Oct). Like every prior election, the Election Commission has again failed to provide a proper & functional website where you can get the election results. However your best bet still would be to try the Chief Election Commissioner for Maharashtra website http://ceo.maharashtra.gov.in/ or the Election Commission India site for the Maharashtra Vidhan Sabha Results.

The CEO site is currently down but one hopes it will get back up tomorrow. In case the CEO site bombs, you might want to try IBN’s coverage of Maharashtra Assembly Elections, I would expect them to also carry the results live.

If at all I get lucky and manage to get through to the CEO site tomorrow, will post whichever results I do get. I am particularly following the Pune ShivajiNagar seat as that’s where I stay & vote.

Update 9 AM on 22nd Oct – Visit http://eciresults.nic.in/ or its mirror site http://eciresults.ap.nic.in/ for the results. The site is working well as of now.

Internal Site Links that can be tried in case the main page is down –

http://eciresults.nic.in/

  1. Partywise Results
  2. Constituencywise Results
  3. Statewise Results

http://eciresults.ap.nic.in/

  1. Partywise Results
  2. Constituencywise Results
  3. Statewise Results

Update – 9.30 pm on 21st Oct -Chief Election Commissioner for Maharashtra website http://ceo.maharashtra.gov.in/ is up again. There even is a link that says “Trends/Results of Assembly Election 2009”. The link points to a PDF file with the message “Page Under Constructions”. I pray to the gods that the EC site does not intend to put up one big updated PDF of the results every few min or so. If that is the case, the site is sure to die under the load tomorrow morning.
